Hot Wheels Diecast
What’s Cool About Hot Wheels Diecast
Hot Wheels diecast toy cars are something that many of us grew up with. If you came up in the fifties or sixties, you remember Matchbox, if you grew up in the seventies, Micro Machines, but if you were born in the eighties, Hot Wheels diecast cars were probably the only brand for you.
The appeal to Hot Wheels diecast cars is two fold.
First- They create some really awesome replicas of real cars. They’re always doing tie-ins with NASCAR and other racing organizations, as well as car dealerships, to create really awesome, super-tiny-scale toy cars that match the real deal bolt for bolt... or at least as well as you can get at that size. Hot Wheels sets the bar high for miniature sized diecast car replicas.
Second- They create a ton of imaginative concept cars. Cars shaped like lizards, cars with jet engines, cars with real firing projectile weapons, you name it, they’ve made it. Every car lover has an affinity for those weird concept cars that would never be street legal in a million years, and Hot Wheels diecast cars produce some that are not only crazy, but crazy even by concept car standards. In other words, they make some really fun stuff.
For adults, there’s even a third part of the appeal: Nostalgia. If you want to reminisce on the old days, racing toy cars with your friends at recess, go ahead and grab a few Hot Wheels and keep them in your desk. Take them out and race them across your desktop whenever you need to cheer yourself up a bit.
